Privacy on Public Blockchains: EY Clients and the Blockchain Curious Must Leverage this “Best of Both Worlds” Breakthrough

EY has been recognized by HFS for its ability to encrypt public blockchains in its report ‘Privacy on public blockchains: EY clients and the blockchain curious must leverage this ‘Best of both Worlds’ breakthrough'. At the EY EMEIA Blockchain Summit held in October 2019 in Paris, Paul Brody, EY’s global blockchain leader, explained how EY is moving the enterprise gaze toward public blockchains that leverage zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs). EY is solving the historic issue of privacy on public blockchains as ZKPs afford EY’s enterprise clients all the benefits of a public blockchain while maintaining privacy.

In its Third Annual Blockchain Summit, EY calls this ‘YEAR 0’ for Blockchain

The third annual EY Global Blockchain Summit gave an indication of the rapid acceleration in adoption that had EY describing this as “Year 0.”

EY hosted TBR and several other attendees in executive‐level discussions, client briefings over a 28-breakout session organized in four tracks consisting of blockchain business applications, blockchain assurance, tax & compliance implications; financial services and the token economy and blockchain technology.

This special report summarizes how blockchain appears poised to deliver on its anticipated promises to transform business interactions and greatly reduce operating expenses while creating new business services networks.

EY showcases the difference between doing digital and being digital

EY recently held its Technology Analyst Summit in Toronto to provide some detail on its digital strategy and transformation capabilities, which are increasingly used internally as well as externally. 451’s report writes how the summit demonstrated how “EY Advisory is rapidly evolving its digital transformation capabilities in terms of building out product engineering and global service delivery to support the assets it is developing”.

EY Outlines Strategic Initiative at Technology Summit

EY hosted its 2018 Technology Summit at one of its flagship wavespace innovation centers in Toronto, Canada to update industry analysts on recent strategic initiatives undertaken by EY’s technology consulting practice. ALM discusses in their report how the summit “highlighted how EY is adapting to a discernible trend change in client expectations for consultants to not only arrive with formed or semi-formed ideas and solutions that solve their commercial and operational problems but also to be able to collaborate with them in co-creating and activating solutions that result in measurable positive outcomes”.

At a Technology Analyst Summit held in Toronto, in one of the wavespace™ innovation hubs, EY provided an update on their technology vision, strategy and digital capabilities, including a range of actual customer engagements. PAC note in their blog post that EY is a strong contender in the market for digital transformation advisory: “Coming from a mainly management consulting background, EY has made significant progress in boosting its IT capabilities”.

EY has been investing heavily in partnerships and in automating our IP in ways that radically reduce ‘run the business’ IT costs while continuing to excel at ‘transform the business’ advisory engagements. TBR’s report on EY, details how we have deepened partnerships with technology providers such as SAP and Microsoft. In this way, EY can pull SAP and Microsoft into accounts where they have previously not had much visibility: “…these three working together in major accounts will give many of their competitors pause”.
